Hi all,

I'm a newbie in this... I've decided on try out a particular hosting service but they charge exorbitant domain name registration fees. Can I register the domain name with another service (at a cheaper cost), and then transfer it to the hosting service of my choice (at no extra charge, apparently)? What are the pros and cons of doing this?

Thank you for any help

You can register the domain name (cheaply) with another domain and then transfer it to the hosting service of your choice.

Buying a new domain name would typically cost you anywhere between $9 and $14.99 per year. However, these prices may differ based on the domain extension or the domain registrar you choose. If you are starting a new website, then we recommend using Bluehost. They are one of the top web hosting companies in the world
